Preparing our students for their future

This is the strategic theme that underpins the focus for the board and senior management.  Preparing our students for their future.  Rutherford provides many opportunities and avenues for students to involve themselves in the wider life of the school.  No matter where their talent lies - the Arts, Sport or Academic Rutherford College has something to offer.

School should be a place where students feel confident and safe to try something new and learn from that experience.  We hope that by developing leadership skills, independent thinking and and strong interpersonal skills our young men and women will be ready to face the world and the next phase of their life with confidence and enthusiasm.

2013 Prefects

The Rutherford Prefects of 2012 are a group of enthusiastic students all working toward a common goal: to be proud representatives of Rutherford College.  Being leaders of the school, they will work to be positive role models, inspire students to lead the Rutherford Way and strive for personal excellence.

The prefects are committed to promoting and strengthening Rutherford pride and spirit, while encouraging involvement in school activities and celebrating the successes of staff and students.  These are the strategic objectives the Prefects endeavour to achieve in 2013.

With the support of the Rutherford family, the Prefect group will take on the challenges that come with being leaders and will work to serve Rutherford with great pride and respect.
